Tanzania was Kandoo’s first destination, and it remains the heart of everything we do. Since 2009 our team in Arusha — guides, drivers, cooks — has carried thousands of guests into the great parks of the north. No third parties. No hand-offs. Just people who know this land, sharing it properly.

Most safari companies sell you a trip, then hand you to someone else on arrival. We never have. Our Arusha operation — led for years by Emanuel Nguma — runs every Kandoo safari with our own guides, our own cooks and our own fleet of pop-top 4x4s.
It is a slower, more personal way to build a travel company. It is also the only way we would want to.
